Welcome to another Travel Tuesday! I brought you on a couple hikes over the last two weeks, so how about I talk about the actual Voyageurs National Park now?
If you want to check out the couple hikes we went on, they are…Kabetogama Lake and Beaver Pond Overlook Trails + Sullivan Bay Trail!
Voyageurs National Park
Admission/Parking: Free
My friend and I stayed at the Northern Lights Resort for a night–it was a super cute and spacious place. Definitely would’ve housed more than just the two of us. (Could probably fit 5 on the beds/couch. Even more if people are okay with sleeping bags on the floor!)
I especially loved the bathroom! <3 Someday, if I’m ever able to afford a house again, it’d be pretty cool to have something like this.
The Airbnb had a kitchen and a cute little dining area as well! Our neighbors were really nice as well.
There’s a fire ring, picnic table, and bench swing a short walk away, and there’s also a giant library of loaner DVDs available at the lodge. You can also rent out a paddleboard for $15/day (if I recall correctly). Canoe rental, on the other hand, is free!
It was a gorgeous evening out on the lake! We made it a lot farther than my friend thought we would! :P
Next time, I’d love to go swimming and paddle boarding out on Lake Kabetogama too! :]
There was a super pretty sunset out on the lake too. :] And thankfully no mosquitoes to bug us over here either!
- Have you ever been to Voyageurs National Park? I may never have discovered it if I hadn’t been planning my road trip…
- Have you ever been canoeing?
- Wanna stay at the same place we did in Voyageurs National Park? This is the Airbnb listing! (If you’re new to Airbnb, you can get $40 off your home booking with my link. (For full disclosure, I get $30 travel credit if you use this link to complete your first-time stay/experience!)

Wow, this looks absolutely stunning! I live on the east coast but I’d love to explore Minnesota one day.

I hope you get to! :] I just moved back to the west coast but I was in NJ for a few years!
I had not heard of this place before, but it sounds amazing! I love all the pictures you shared!!
Thanks! It’s such an awesome place! :]!!
Looks fantastic! I’ve been canoeing but never to Voyager’s National Park. I’d love to hit up more national parks.
I’m hoping to get to visit all of them someday! :]!
This place looks absolutely amazing. Perfect to go there and just relax. Nature is beautiful. I see you had lovely time there. I’m glad.
Thank you! It really is. <3
