Shark escape!
If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d…tell you that I got to be a witness to a close friend’s wedding early last month! We’ve been friends since grad school (basically the technical-life of this blog if you include the time it was treated as my online journal)! <3

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d…tell you that we finallllllly got rain in California! We have been desperately needing it for a while, so despite losing power for a bit, I was glad to see it finally happen (+ glad for no floods in my area).
I spent the day indoors sipping tea and smothering my poor Muffin with love.
If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d…tell you that yesterday marks my 2-year “work anniversary!” Where I work, they do 2 votes to “vote you onto the island” and I passed the first one (yay!), so here’s to smooth sailing for the next one as well (should happen next year).
I definitely got a kick out of this email! :P
I also finally got my booster shot! It’s way overdue but I’m glad I finally managed to carve out some time for it. So far, just a sore arm and some minor muscle aches, so either I’m just really lucky, or mayhaps I have a rusty immune system. (Hopefully it’s the former.)

Congrats on your work anniversary! Next year will be my 10th with my current employer, altho I worked there in the past as a nurse too. I could write a post or a book on how much healthcare has changed in my years with this employer alone! And not necessarily for the better. I remind myself daily that I’m there for my patients.
We also had a drought here in the midwest–but we’ve had some drenching rains this fall, which has helped a lot!
Thank you, and happy early work anniversary to you too! There’s definitely been a lot of change just even in the last couple years — there’s so much improvement that could/needs to be made.
Whew! I’m hoping we’ll get more rain as well! We definitely need it still!

Not a whole lot new in my life, same old same old. But I have been hiking a lot in October and that makes me happy!

Congrats on your workversary :-) I hope the booster won’t affect you too ouch. The hubby and I aren’t yet eligible, but I’m in no hurry… both original doses practically knocked me off my buttocks LOL

Thank you! I think eligibility just opened up for everyone! :] The only symptom I ended up getting was the sore arm (yay, haha).

Muffin is sooooo cute!! I want to cuddle Muffin. My kitty cuddles sometimes. When he’s not cuddling me, he’s attacking me.😉 All in good fun- for him!

hehe, they just joke about being voted onto the island after year 3 (you get senior status and become a shareholder at that time, but if they don't like you enough, you may be asked to leave or that status gets delayed while you work on the stuff they don't like, haha ._. ).

As an International Petsitter, of course I love, love, LOVE your kitty! If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I know Muffin misses you when you travel. (Or perhaps you travel with her!)

Aww, yay! :D I do travel with her when I can, but sometimes I feel like it’d stress her out more to move her around. She seems to not mind the short trips though! :]
