Welcome to another Ultimate Coffee Date! I’m a little late for mine this weekend, but better late than never!
Ultimate Coffee Date: August 2023
We went to a friend’s wedding recently and the photographer caught this “gem” of me. Do you like my look of intense concentration!?! lolll.
If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…my friends + I (link = to our previous adventures) met up for our would-be quarterly reunion in Big Sur recently! :] Tis one of my favorite places + we had a lot of fun eating the world, catching up on life, and exploring Carmel + Big Sur.
If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…my medical assistant (the one who made me this + saves me at least an hour a day from her awesome-ness!) is leaving me and I’m super sad. :'( I’ve been trying to mourn not-in-front-of-her so she won’t feel bad about it. (She got a position that’s about 4 minutes away from where she lives rather than the daily 2+ hour roundtrip commute she currently does.)
She is the bestttt and I will miss her lots, but I’m super happy for her because this is honestly a great opportunity for her. Very sad for me though, haha.
As a result of finding out she’s leaving though, I was feeling kinda “nothing left to lose”-y and piped up about having a meeting cancelled + received this from one of my co-workers, hahaha.
If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…I think I have a new favorite national park to add to my list! I’ve been to…33 out of the 63 so far! I also made it to Yellowstone for the first time! It was rainy all day but still pretty!

Yellowstone is really pretty! It’s been too long since I have visited. While I have been to CA numerous times, I’ve never been to Big Sur. Everyone seems to rave about it. Thanks for joining the coffee date!
Ooo, I definitely think it’s worth a trip if you’re planning on coming back to visit again! :] (If at all possible though, would recommend to go on a weekday though to avoid the crowds!)

Yellowstone is definitely on my list. I don’t think I’ve ever visited a “bad” national park.
I’m sorry you’re losing your assistant, but man — a 2 hour commute? That’s brutal! I can undersstand.

For sure — I asked our manager if there’s anyone he can find who’s as awesome as her and also local, I’m willing to wait! haha.
Yellowstone is on my list. One day I will make it there. Bummer about your medical assistant but that is a long commute. Hopefully, you get another one that is just as good.

Yellowstone is definitely amazing and beautiful. One of my favorites, right after Sequoia National Park!
Sequoia is super pretty — I’m overdue for a visit back there! :D

Great article! Yellowstone is definitely one of my favorites with all the amazing sights to see! Been there several times and it’s a thrill everything! I think my favorite is Sequoia National Park though!
I need to go back when it’s nottt super crowded! :D I’d love to do more hiking + see more of the geysers there!
