Some of you may know of the fact that I almost exclusively shop the Manager’s Specials at Kroger. It’s a big part of how I survive/thrive on $50/month for food (truth be told, I’m spending <$10 these days because yayyy for student housing and generous hospitals/rotations!), and is also how I get to try out new things that I think I might like!
But sometimes, Kroger disappoints me and has nothing on sale. ;_; (Aka the last 4 times I went there. Noooo!)
That’s where Bulu Box can come into the picture! (Hooray for my affiliation with Fit Approach as a Sweat Pink Ambassador!
Bulu Box puts together 4-5 samples based on your profile so that you can try different products out before potentially wasting your money on a full-size version! You can also earn reward points for subscribing + sharing your thoughts on different products. (Personally, I’d be all over their protein stuffs! :P)
So…what the hecks was in my box, you ask?
Urgent Rx Upset Stomach
My last bout of major food poisoning was a super nasty bout of shigellosis, and I [thankfully] have not had a chance to try this one out yet, but if I do get an upset stomach somewhere in the future, I’ll be sure to try this out and report back! They’re little fruit-flavored powder packs that you can just down without the need for water!
Martha Stewart Vegetarian Multi-Vitamin Gummies
I’m a big fan of vitamin gummies, because they’re kinda like my daily candy! My current stash = Disney princess vitamin gummies (don’t judge me), but these are a tasty alternative + comes in 3 flavors: orange, lemon + cherry.
Movit Energy Gummies
I’m definitely planning on keeping these in my white coat pockets so that if I feel myself slipping into a food coma, I can remedy that quickly! (Or, y’know, if I decide that my little revisit with running isn’t actually a once-in-a-blue-moon thing!
Nuvia Cafe
This was a little pack of Sumatran Arabica coffee infused with Ganoderma extract, ECGC, and pomegranate for an energy boost. (They must know that I’m in med school, haha.)
Ovega-3
This is an all-natural vegetarian omega-3 supplement that’s supposed to deliver the same benefits of fish oil, but without the fishy aftertaste!
BPI Sports FunnBar
These are 15-calorie sugar-free, gluten-free protein chews with 15g protein in each pack of chews!
Naked Wines Voucher
This is a $100 off a $160 Naked Wines order, but I’m not sure if it’s still valid, since I don’t have an actual home at the moment, and was only recently able to stop by to pick up my mini-mountain of packages from the shelter/farm!
Bulu Box is offering 50% off a 3-month subscription to BuluBox (aka $5/box! :O!) with the following discount code: SWEATPINK

This and Naturebox are the only ones I’ve tried so far, but they’re pretty awesome! :D
https://jackedpack.com and http://lootcrate.com are my two favorite birch box style subscriptions. Although I will say that some of the fat burners are definitely questionable at best, haha.

hahaha, I’d agree with your assessment on those fat burners! :P
First, it’s cracking me up that Martha Stewart makes vitamins. Second, this box is really cool! I love that it offers a variety of items, so it’s like getting a little piece of several different kinds of subscription boxes.

Hahaha, I definitely didn’t expect that either! :P I really liked that about this subscription box too! :]
I used to LOVE gummy vitamins back when they didn’t contain ingredients I don’t eat right now… it’s so fun to be able to look forward to taking a vitamin!!

Aww, darn! This is kinda the only way I’ve been consistently eating my vitamins. :x I wonder if they make a variety that you would be able to eat? :O!
Lots of energy in this box! Just what you need! :-)

haha, yes indeed! I’m always so tired! x_x
Cool, you got way different things then I did – that’s what makes this fun…we get to see some of their other products. I thought it was fun, being able to test out a health product before purchasing a whole box. Wine voucher…that’s one I didn’t get!

Agreed! I was looking forward to getting protein powder or the chicken jerky that I was seeing in other boxes, but this was pretty cool!
I don’t drink alcohol, so that one’s a little lost on me. If you want it, let me know and I can send it over so it doesn’t get wasted! :P
that’s awesome!! I’ve never heard of this box… I might have to look into it. It’s very different from any other one I’ve seen. I do the IPSY subscription. This is neat

Cool! :D I’ve heard of the Ipsy one too, but haven’t had a chance to try it out yet!
These Bulu Boxes are so fun! You really get to test all these different products, so much variety. The Martha Stewart Vegetarian Gummies sound great and I heard many great things about the Movit Energy gummies.
