If you know me fairly well, you probably know that my favorite form of shopping = grocery shopping. I adore food. But…any guesses on what comes second in the world of retail therapy for me?
Skin care products! I regularly have to place myself on bans so that I’ll finish off everything I currently have before I get any more. (Come to think of it, this happens to me with food too–I’ve been on a grocery ban for quite some time now…)
It’s been super hot lately and although I’m on the east coast at the moment and it’s actually humid, it still feels like sweltering heat. Since jumping into a pool generally isn’t an option due to my schedule, I’ve been experimenting with a facial mist that I received as part of the Mishe Report Club! (I received a free product in exchange for a review–as always, my thoughts + opinions are mine and mine alone.)
What is Mishe Beauty, you ask? It’s a company that brings together two different worlds, so to speak. My skin care collection spans across both “Asian beauty” products and “western products” and I feel like it’s been working out pretty well for me.
The facial mist in question is Ausome’s Hydrating Double Mist!
Fast Facts:
- Free of parabens, synthetic dyes + fragrances
- Tested by dermatologists
- Contains jojoba oil, apple + tomato extracts to smooth the skin
- Only uses botanic water + is aloe vera-based
- Cruelty-free!
- Made in Australia
I feel like this would likely work well with most skin types (my skin type is probably closest to “normal,” although it has a tendency to lean towards dry because of my perpetually terrible hydration status). This mist would likely be less helpful/moisturizing for me in the winter, when my skin’s a lot more dry, but for summer, it’s perfect for a quick pick-me-up!
Life lately has consisted of work, delicious food, and frolicking outdoors (hence why I’ve scaled back on blogging recently–sorry!). As as result, I’ve been super lazy and somewhat skimping on my usual skin care routine. This has been great for a mid-day refresher for my skin (or for after a yoga session)!
Before using it, make sure you shake it to mix the two layers–then spray it onto your skin. You can pat the remaining mist into your skin and follow with serum or moisturizer, or you can just use it throughout the day to refresh and hydrate your skin (which is what I’ve been doing, since I have a whole ‘nother dedicated night routine). I don’t wear makeup very often, but I’ve been using BB cream lately because hooray for built-in SPF!
- What do you most like shopping for?
- How’s summer treating you? How do you keep your skin hydrated during the summer?
- Have you ever used a facial mist before? I’ve only ever tried the Ausome’s Hydrating Double Mist, but I like it a lot!

I’ve used that Evian spray before and it’s nice and refreshing when I’m just SO hot, but this one sounds great. I’m glad you liked it!

It’s definitely been super super hot lately (although it happened to randomly cool down today, haha). I’m super glad for this! :]

My skin tends to feel greasy during the summer (ew), so most facial moisturizers are just not appealing. I bet the spray would feel better!

I feel ya! The humidity definitely hasn’t helped with that feeling, so I love how light this spray is! :]

I always think of people spraying their faces with Evian when I hear facial mist. This sound really refreshing though!
I’ve heard of that spray but haven’t ever tried it yet! :O
