Honey Nut Banana Milk

A Nutty Nut Day: We had to take advantage of the fact that National Nut Day (October 22nd) falls on one of our ReDux monthly theme post days – so we can all go nuts! Share a healthy nut-filled recipe: Think whole nuts, chopped nuts, ground nuts, nut butter and/or nut flour. And Happy Nut Day!

Through my affiliation with Fit Approach and Sweat Pink, I received free samples of Mighty Nut‘s new line of powdered peanut butter in exchange for an honest review! This is a sponsored post, but as always, all thoughts + opinions are mine and mine alone!

Since it happens to be National Nut Day, what better way to celebrate than with a super nutty (+ healthy) drink! (Make sure you enter the giveaway at the bottom, and check out the other The Recipe ReDux creations! :]

When you were little, did you ever think about running away? In my idle daydreams (I never actually wanted to run away, but it was more of a what-if scenario), I’d always pack a jar of peanut butter, because that stuff is magical. <3

I’ve long been a fan of Peanut Butter & Co (their White Chocolate Wonderful is still my favorite!), and they recently came out with powdered peanut butter! :D

Each batch of Mighty Nut is made from USA-grown peanuts, so that you can enjoy the nutty awesomeness that is peanut butter. It’s low-calorie and high protein, and you can rehydrate it by adding water to use it as a spread or a dip, or bake, cook, throw it into smoothies, etc.!

They come in 4 different flavors!

  • Original
  • Vanilla
  • Chocolate
  • Flax & Chia

Long long ago, when my blog was basically my place to stockpile my recipes, one of my easiest-ever recipes was Banana Milk, which was a copycat recipe of one of the things you could order off the menu at the milk tea places I used to frequent with my friends back in high school/college. (I went the healthy route with it, and it only had 3 ingredients.)

And here, m’friends, is the souped up version (just 6 ingredients)! I added in a packet of NuZest Smooth Vanilla protein powder for an extra boost of protein–it’s 100% vegetable, natural, free from common allergens (e.g. eggs, nuts, crustaceans, sesame, mustards, or fish), and…also gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free! :O I have a couple other flavors that I’m looking forward to trying! :]

Honey Nut Banana Milk

Your inclusion of walnuts in this recipe really hits the flavor-spot for me. Banana bread with walnuts was how my grandma always did it, so the flavor combo is something I love. Can’t wait to try this recipe myself!
