It’s hard to believe how fast time is flying by here… I haven’t actually even been in school for 4 months yet, but I would probably bet money that the amount of information I’ve been tested on/expected to learn and retain probably stacks higher than I am in terms of giant pages of text. (I’m not that tall, but still, that’s not the point.) In less than 3 weeks, I’ll be headed home for winter/Christmas vacation! In the meantime, however, I’ve been attempting to get used to this thing called seasons (you’d think my last year in NJ would have helped at least a little, but I think I may have blocked the weather part out of my mind, and it was actually pretty mild while I was there). The other day, it randomly decided to start snowing, and I almost froze to death (not really) on my way to church. My first words when I got into the building (other than “thank you,” because they held the door open for me) was “Why is it snowing!?”
They made fun of me. :[
But, here’s my embroidered coat! (It got embroidered like 2 months ago, but I didn’t get around to posting about it til now because I’m cool like that.)
I found a random fairy ring in the field at school, so I walked into the middle and made a wish. <3 Pixie told me I’d get dragged away by elves, but all is well. I hope said wish comes true.
This is just one of the many meals I’ve been treated to at church, thanks to super-awesome potlucks and extremely friendly/nice people. They told me not to worry about bringing anything since I’m just one person and a starving student at that, so I have instead been trying to give back by playing piano for church service + special music. :O
