Hello, world! I’m on my second week of nights right now and have been getting varying degrees of sleep, so my blogging has been a little rocky lately, but I’m back again, this time to share…my fall nighttime skin care routine with Clarisonic! (It’s a nighttime routine because I hate mornings and don’t have much of a morning routine. :D…)
P.S. If you’re wondering what the bow is for, it helps to keep my hair outta my face when I’m washing it (thanks, BeautySesh)!
This is a sponsored post in partnership with Clarisonic and Her Campus Media. As always, all thoughts/opinions are mine and mine alone.
My Fall Nighttime Skin Care Routine with Clarisonic
Step 1: Cleanser
(I received Mia 1 Device with Radiance Brush head, Acne Brush Head, Deep Pore Brush Head, Refreshing Gel Cleanser from Clarisonic.)
I was happy to find that the Refreshing Gel Cleanser really does live up to its name! My skin definitely feels refreshed after using it and it’s gentle enough for everyday use. I’ve had a horrible sleep schedule the week before last (about 8 hours in a 61-ish hour period. shhhh), and am currently working nights, so you can probably guess the quality of sleep I’ve been getting lately (sigh).
It was super easy to incorporate this into my usual routine since I use an exfoliating cleanser every 3-4 days, but was running low on a regular daily one. Overall, I think it’s been doing its job well–it doesn’t help to prevent my hormonal acne, but it’s not marketed for blemish control, so that’s not something I expected it to help with.
I’ve been working 15-16 hour shifts, so I really like that my skin feels revitalized (and ready for moisturizing!) after using this! Of the different brushes I tried, the Acne Brush Head was my favorite because I’ve been battling it out with a couple blemishes thanks to the sleep deprivation!
Although it’s pricey in my book, if you divide out the amount of use vs. upfront cost, it equates to less than 1 Starbucks drink a week! Clarisonic also offers monthly payment plans (upon credit approval) too if you can’t/don’t want to pay it all up front!
Step 2: Toner
I finished my homemade ACV Toner a while ago, so I’ve been using Good Things Deep Pore Cleanser + Toner Anti-Blemish in Fig + Wild Strawberry instead. It’s lasted me from the beginning of this year to now and I still have about half the bottle left, so I’d say a little goes a long way, and for ~$6 (thanks, TJ Maxx!), I’d definitely say it’s worth it! I doubt I’d use it alone as a cleanser regularly, but I’ll admit that it’s happened a couple times on my super tired/lazy days and my skin hasn’t completed hated on me, so I think of that as a plus. It has a light, pleasant fruity scent (f you’re not a fan of scented products, I’d steer clear).
I’m also still definitely loving my reusable cotton rounds-I’ve had them for ~1 year now and they’re holding up really well–yay for no waste! :]
Step 3: Exfoliants
I’ve been using COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid as a daily chemical exfoliant and I sub in COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol when my face is breaking out. Will include full reviews on these in the future!
In the meantime, find out more about the 10-Step Korean Skin Care Regimen + how to target your skin concerns!
Step 4: Eye cream/serum
Apparently, I’m a master at making products last forever because I’m still on my original tube of OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Cream!
Step 5: Face cream/serum
I’m alternating between COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream and COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence as my night cream!
Step 7: Spot Treatment
I have a topical tretinoin cream that I use for spot treatment. (Retinoids are used to treat acne, wrinkles, hyperpigmented and/or rough spots.) It is considered to be a teratogen, so don’t use this if you’re pregnant or trying to get pregnant!
Step 8: Lip Balm
I have 43820492 tubes of MyLipStuff that I love and adore. (I probably have enough to last the next decade, tbh.) The only thing that’s missing from them = SPF, so I’ve incorporated it into my nighttime skincare routine instead! Ain’t nobody gonna be out in the sun when they’re about to sleep!

Omg, I don’t know you do it – you’re so busy and with little sleep! And you look great! I’m glad these products worked so well for you though. :)

haha, I got used to not sleeping much in college and it’s kinda just continued since then! x_x But thank you! I’m super happy that they work so well too! :D!

Anytime! :D! I’d always been curious, so I’m really glad I finally got a chance to try it out! <3
Maybe I should try a CLARISONIC again. I did it for a little while and really saw little to NO difference in my skin, so I stopped. But since then I have started to use way more exfoliating cleansers since my FAVORITEEEEE was discontinued. So perhaps the Clarisonic would help even more to get into those dang pores of mine.

Aww, I’m sorry to hear that your favorite one was discontinued! Replacing old favorites = a rough time. :[! The Clarisonic isn’t marketed as much for exfoliating than it is for gentle cleansing (or at least, that’s the case with the model I have–there might be other models that do exfoliate(?) though!).

I have one of these brushes and love it! I need the products too. Your skin looks lovely especially for not sleeping.
I’m so glad I finally own one! :D! My skin is a definite fan! (And thank you! I’m hoping to normalize my sleeping schedule again hopefully soon! *-*)!

My skincare routine is the laziest. I wash my face and I have acne spot treatment that I use when necessary. I keep thinking I should at least get some toner and exfoliant…

That was mine for the longest time! I started getting worried about what my last decade’s worth of sleep deprivation was doing to my skin though, so I figured I’d change something up, hehehe.
I love how you go into so much detail with everything! This is such a great post!
