It’s Foodie Friday! I don’t have a recipe for you today (soon, I promise!), but I do have a review of the I Love My Air Fryer Recipe Book!
If you got an air fryer for Christmas or bought it as a Black Friday deal some time ago but have been letting it collect dust for all this time, this post is for you. <3
The “I Love My Air Fryer” Affordable Meals Recipe Book
Author: Aileen Clark
Genre: Food/Cooking
Pages: 224
The “I Love My Air Fryer” Affordable Meals Recipe Book is divided into 9 different chapters and contains 175 different recipes for things you can make (under $12!). The introduction goes through the different varieties of air fryers (e.g. basket- vs oven-style), how to clean them, and tips on how to save money when it comes to food.
Breakfast
This chapter includes recipes for something as simple as Crispy Bacon or Hard-Cooked Eggs to Sausage Breakfast Burritos, Strawberry Breakfast Pastries, Coffee Cake, Monkey Bread, or even Brioche French Toast.
Appetizers and Snacks
I feel like the “type” of food I make most often in an air fryer = appetizers/snacks. It’s just so perfect for that! Kale Chips, Sweet Potato Chips, Honey-Goat Cheese Balls, Stuffed Mushrooms, Peach Bread, Pull-Apart Pizza Bread, Fried Pickles… Whether you prefer sweet or savory, there’s something for everyone here!
Side Dishes
There are lotsss of delicious ideas here, including 3 different types of fries (regular, carrot, zucchini), Pull-Apart Dinner Rolls, Smashed Red Potatoes, Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts, Seasoned Summer Squash…
Chicken Main Dishes
Chicken is my favorite affordable-protein and there are tons of great ideas here! Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings, Buttermilk Chicken Tenders, Pesto Chicken, Spinach-Stuffed Chicken, Chicken Fajitas, Honey Garlic Chicken, Chicken Taquitos…
Beef and Pork Main Dishes
Meatloaf Muffins, Steak Tips, Mongolian Beef, Taco Casserole, Beef Empanada, Taco Pie, Lasagna, Italian Meatballs, Beef and Rice-Stuffed Peppers…
Fish and Seafood Main Dishes
Teriyaki Salmon (my favorite splurge-protein!), Cajun Fish Cakes, Bang Bang Shrimp, Shrimp Scampi, Mini Tuna Casseroles, Tilapia and Squash Casserole, Beer-Battered Cod, Crab Cakes…
Vegetarian Main Dishes
Parmesan Garlic Spaghetti Squash, Corn Fritters, Mediterranean Crustless Quiche, Vegetarian Enchiladas, Tostadas, Blackberry and Goat Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, General Tso’s Cauliflower, Fried Ravioli, Loaded Nachos…
Desserts
A bunch of these sound amazing, but I’m especially excited to try making the Churros, Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip Cookies, Caramel Apple Hand Pies. (The Strawberry Turnovers and Pineapple Upside-Down Cake sound delicious too!)
Each recipe includes:
- Short introduction
- “Hands-on” time needed
- Total cook time
- Total recipe cost
- Serving size
- Ingredients
- Instructions
- Nutrition facts
Some include modifications/tips (e.g. recommended cook times if you’re making sausage patties vs links, using different types of bread, how long it’ll keep for, etc.
That’s pretty much all the information I’d want to have included in a cookbook, so The “I Love My Air Fryer” Affordable Meals Recipe Book is definitely right up my alley! I’m excited to get cookin’ again! (Maybe that’ll be a goal for this year – to restart cooking/food blogging? We shall see.)
