Get Awarded for Healthy Living with Achievemint

Do you track your workouts? Meals? Steps? Weight?

I recently discovered Achievemint, an app/site that gives you points for healthy activities. You can earn $10 for every 10,000 points you earn!

I don’t know about you, but the prospect of getting awarded for healthy living, especially with things I’m already doing, was rather intriguing.

For the record, this post is in no way sponsored, butttt if you use my link to sign up, we each get 250 points! :]

I thought Achievemint sounded like a cool idea. The iHealth app on my phone automatically tracks my steps anyway–why not make some money off of it?

It did sound like it was too good to be true since there is pretty much nothing to lose (aside from the 19.2MB it’ll take up on your phone and the short amount of time it takes to set up an account…). Progress can be slow, but it’s hard to complain about free monies! They’re able to do payouts because they partner with health companies for health research data, so I’m hoping for more surveys in the future. :P

To earn points, do any of the following:

  • Log your steps (~1 point per 350-380-ish steps – max of 80 points/day)
  • Log your meals (6 points/meal up to 4[?]x/day)
  • Weigh yourself (6 points up to 1x/day)
  • Tweet fitness/health-related posts (6 points up to 1x/day)
  • Log your workout (6 points) – I don’t typically work out multiple times per day so I’m not sure how many times you can get points for it each day
  • Sleeping (I can’t comment on this one because I don’t log my sleep and don’t sleep much anyway, so if someone else tries this, let me know!)
  • Take health-related surveys on their app (I earned 750 with the initial Health Survey!)
  • Refer a friend (250 points each for you and your friend)

I like that it went back and added all my steps over the past month even though I joined at the end of the month! :D

Achievemint currently supports the following apps: A&D Connect, DailyMile, Expresso, Fitbit, Fitbug, Foursquare, Garmin, iHealth, Jawbone, LifeFitness, MapMyFitness, MapMyHike, MapMyRide, MapMyWalk, Microsoft Health, Misfit, Moves, Qardio, Record, RunDouble, RunKeeper, Strava, Withings.

Personally, I wish it’d support Fitocracy (my workout app of choice since the others all seem way more geared toward running) and Yelp since I use that to check into the gym sometimes, but one cannot complain! I like that there’s no limit to what you can earn!

I’ve only had it for a week thus far, so I’m still learning more about it at the moment, but it’s actually gotten me to finally start tracking my meals again! I’ve been meaning to because I am (hopefully) back on the path to glory (aka becoming a swolemaiden).

By that, I mean I’ve finally started lifting again and have a longggg way to go to get back to where I used to be, but my goal is to surpass it eventually! (If I do manage to join the powerlifting club, I want to potentially compete again and level up on some badassery!)

I joined on December 31 and have 1998 points thus far–by my estimate, it’ll probably take at least half a year, but since it’s such a passive thing, there isn’t anything to lose! My understanding is that you get paid within ~4 weeks via Paypal or Giftrocket after you earn enough points, but I’ll keep you all posted! :]

  • Do you log your workouts/meals/steps?
  • Wanna join me on Achievemint?! Use my referral link so we can both get 250 points! :P

  1. It’s a nice idea! It does seem like it would take a long time to get any money, but hey, if you’re going to track these things anyway, why not randomly get some money?

  3. Sadly I don’t track anything. My iPhone tracks the steps I take, but I don’t pay attention to it. Getting rewarded for healthy living sounds too good to be true. I’m going to check out this app.

    1. I didn’t either until I found out that my phone had been automatically tracking my steps for me, hehehe. I figured I might as well connect it and let it eventually reward me for walking all over the place! :P

  5. A few years ago I signed up with one of these, and I don’t know why I let it go. I really should take advantage of these since it’s so easy to use and the awards can always be helpful!!
    Thanks!!!
