I figured I’d write a quick update to alert the world that I’m currently in Florida.
I got here at midnight and after a blissful 5-ish hours of sleep, I had my first interview this morning!
I’d like to think that it went well, although I am my own worst critic, so there are a host of things I think I could’ve done better with, and they didn’t ask me about all the things I really wanted to tell them about. Halfway through, I wanted to say things like, “Ask me about my community service! Let me tell you about the billion things I’ve done!”
I didn’t though. I tried to work them into the things that they did ask about, and I really think I could’ve articulated things better, but we shall see.
The interview itself was actually really short (~20 minutes), and I think I tend to be a rather chatty person (I really like talking to people), so I think I got a whole lot of information across in that time (but not nearly enough :[ ).
They spent the rest of the day telling us about the school, showing us around, and feeding us. I met a lot of different people from all over the country, so it was pretty cool getting to talk with people from all kinds of different backgrounds. People there were super friendly, so that’s always a welcome plus. :]
I’m currently loitering at the airport waiting for my next flight so I can go to my next interview tomorrow morning. I’d definitely appreciate any and all good thoughts/energy/luck being sent my way! <3
