Welcome to to Foodie Fridays! I’ll be linking up with Annmarie from the Fit Foodie Mama + Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl–this week’s theme is…Vegetarian! I’m sharing another new recipe with you this week–fancy toast with fruit and peanut butter!
This recipe is super versatile and you can pretty much use any type of fresh fruit (dried would work too, but fresh is prettier) and nut butter. Come to think of it, this is somewhat similar to my Berry Dessert Toast recipe, but slightly less dessert-like.
We have a super awesome neighbor with a fig tree who gave us a giant container of fresh figs, so I decided to use em’ in here! Fairly recently, I was also given some nut butters from bnutty and decided to make something with it! They have a whole lot of different flavors like the Blissful Blueberries one incorporated here (gourmet peanut butter with blueberries + milk chocolate), including:
- Cinnamon Sugar Cookie – seasonal (honey roasted peanuts, sugar cookies + cinnamon)
- Cozy Cocoa – seasonal (honey roasted peanuts, marshmallow + milk chocolate)
- Coco-Nutty (honey roasted peanuts, toasted coconut, almonds, dark chocolate)
- Joyful Cranberries – seasonal (honey roasted peanuts, dried cranberries, white + milk chocolate)
- Irresistible Pretzel (honey roasted peanuts, pretzels, white chocolate)
- Pumpkin Spice – seasonal (honey roasted peanuts, 100% creamy pumpkin, holiday spices)
- Peacefully Plain – (honey roasted peanuts)
- Peppermint Brownie – seasonal (honey roasted peanuts, brownie, peppermint white chocolate)
- S’more Dreams (honey roasted peanuts + grahams, marshmallows, milk chocolate)
- Skinny Dip (honey roasted peanuts, granola, various nuts + honey)
- Simply Salted Caramel (honey roasted peanuts, creamy caramel, pink Himalayan salt)
- Totally Toffee (honey roasted peanuts, toffee, milk chocolate, almonds)
…I legit want to try every single flavor, but I’ll have to start first with the 3 I was given. Those seasonal flavors sound all kinds of amazing!

Loved how simple this is to make…Looks yummy :)…Fresh figs are not easily available here…will try with some apple…
Ooo, that should be super tasty too! :]
I have never actually prepared my own figs! Thanks for the inspiration
Fresh figs are so tasty! :D!
I’ve actually never had figs – can you believe that? That being said, this looks like a recipe I would definitely try!
Ahhh, I hope you get to try them sometime–they’re so, so good! *-*
That is a lot of flavor choices! Pumpkin spice would my choice.
I’m definitely gonna be having more of that in the fall!:P
5 min prep is my favorite kind of meal ;) At times its daunting to cook and anything healthy with such little prep is great. Thanks for this recipe…

Anytime! Hope you enjoy!
I’m a peanut butter purist so I’d probably go for the Peacefully Plain. That said some of those other PB’s do sound tasty! I actually never combine fruit and PB and I’m ot sure why – this is really a good idea! *makes note to pick up some strawberries later at the supermarket*
hehehe, I love the classic one too, but I am easily suckered in by tasty-sounding flavors! :P I hope you enjoy!
I’m not a toast person, but “fancy” toast changes everything. This looks amazing.
I like regular peanut butter best of all (crunchy, if we’re being specific), but I am always open to new things.
hehehe, it’s nice to dress up regular ol’ snacks sometimes! :P I love crunchy PB!

I have only had dried figs before. They looks so sweet and delicious. I love the idea of your fancy toast.

I love the fresh ones so much more, but when I can’t get a hold of those, I do opt for dried! :P
