It’s Foodie Friday (+ also Black Friday)! How’s everyone been doing? It’s been ages since I last did a cookbook review so I figured now would be as good a time as any! (Just in time for the holidays!) Fabulous Modern Cookies starts off with an intro on the “building blocks” of baking cookies (i.e. the essentials needed), with tips on how to replace sugar or adapt a recipe to be gluten-free, + information about different equipment/tools for happy baking.

The book is divided into 8 different chapters:

Bar Cookies

This chapter teaches you how to make Fudgy Cloud Brownies, Portland Pie Squares, Whiskey-Lemon Sweet Potato Squares, New-School Banana Puddin’ Squares, Mango Sunshine Bars, and more. There are tips on how to cut each batch depending on pan size so that every piece comes out the same size.
