I did a post way back in the day for Uncommon Goods and…I’m back again with a cozy gift guide for Galentine’s Day! (For the record, this is a sponsored post, but as per usual, all thoughts/opinions are mine and mine alone!)
I don’t do gift guides too often because I’m more for experiences versus “things,” but a ton of the things you can find at Uncommon Goods would contribute toward really fun experiences with friends and/or significant others!
I also really love their focus on sustainable living and giving back to the community + supporting local artists! Two years back, I got a solar light puff from them and I’m still using it on camping trips! It definitely came into handy during my hike up Half Dome last October too!
Over the years, I’ve turned into more and more of an introvert (although if you had to classify me anywhere, I’d probably fall into more of an extroverted introvert), so if you’re looking for cozy gifts, look no further than this gift guide! :]
Cozy Gift Guide for Galentine’s Day
These coasters keep your drink warm for a longer period of time while filling the air with the smell of delicious spices (cinnamon/clove or coffee)! Just heat up the coaster for 30 seconds and put your drink on it! They’re made with a hand-woven Guatemalan fabric and is made by women artisans from Unidas Para Vivir Mejor/United For a Better Life, which trains women to create handmade textiles.
Literary Candles
These hand-poured soy candles have a 55 hour burn time. I love the idea of these–the scents are inspired by different books!
- Sherlock Holmes (black currant tea + leather books)
- Alice in Wonderland (bergamot, lavender, mandarin, thyme, ylang ylang, jasmine)
- Jane Eyre (roses, rainwater)
- Pride & Prejudice (lily, lilac, rose, hyacinth, ivy)
National Park Candles
After my epic road trip through 22 national parks last summer, it probably comes at no secret that I love our national parks! These were crafted after 3 different national parks (Redwoods, Yellowstone, Yosemite) with original watercolor illustrations for each of the national park areas that were featured! It’s reproduced on recyclable paper tube packaging + made from coconut wax–perfect for nature lovers on their nights indoors. :]
Zodiac Candles
These coconut-soy wax candles are made from phthalate-free fragrance oils with the outer part made from recycled steel. They’re meant to be burned for no more than 3 hours at a time, and these help to provide jobs for women refugees living in Massachusetts!
Word of warning, I have a whole lot of light sources in this gift guide, possibly because winter is dark and full of terrors I miss sunlight, but this is so pretty + casts a beautiful warm glow in the home!
Solar Reading Light
I know I already talked about my solar light puff, but I’m all about solar-powered light sources lately. This is pocket-sized and provides 5 hours of bright light (+ long-lasting soft light) after 5 hours of charging! It also helps out the Little Sun Project to offer these lights to villages without affordable electricity. Their goal is to bring solar lamps to 1.1 billion people living without affordable electricity. (They’ve distributed 439,035 so far!)
Smart Solar Light + Charger
…Like I said, all about the lights right now. You can also control the color + brightness with the app! Good for ambiance lighting. The charge time is 2-3 hrs with included USB or 14 hrs via solar charging. For each light purchased, one will be provided to someone living without electricity!
Alright, so this one may seem just a bit out of place with the cozy theme but I am a closet sap and it warms my cold and icy heart. To me, home isn’t so much a place as it is wherever you feel the happiest and most comfortable, and that’s usually accomplished by being around the ones that you love. :]
- Have you ever celebrated Galentine’s Day? :P
- What would you want most from Uncommon Goods?
