Quaker Oats and The National Dairy Council challenged Recipe ReDux members to develop creative and tasty breakfasts, snacks or side dishes featuring the power of whole grain oats with the goodness of reduced/low-fat dairy.
By posting this recipe I am entering a recipe contest sponsored by the National Dairy Council and the Quaker Oats Center of Excellence and am eligible to win prizes associated with the contest. I was not compensated for my time.
I’m loving the smoothie/shake recipes floating out there these days, and I’ve been trying out new ones every day.
This is a very simple creation that takes under 5 minutes and only calls for 5 ingredients (but the amount of add-ons you can try with it are virtually endless!). It makes enough for 2 small servings!
I love that the oatmeal adds a bit of texture and also more fiber to this shake! The milk that I used is from Homestead Creamery, which I’ve talked about before in the past! :]
Cookies ‘N’ Creme Oatmeal Shake
- 1 cup 2% Homestead Creamery milk
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 frozen banana, cut into chunks
- 1 scoop MusclePharm Combat Cookies ‘N’ Creme protein powder
- 1 tsp hemp seeds
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth!

I think that’s probably one of my favorite ice cream flavors (it’s right up there with cookie dough and strawberry cheesecake!). I will go check it out! :D
Looks yummy girl! I love shakes, especially adding oatmeal to them since it creates such a yummy texture!

Agreed! Last year, my friend made me a strawberry banana one using a recipe I’d been meaning to try out and I’ve been hooked ever since! :]
I love oatmeal and I like it better when I add something to it. Thanks for sharing this recipe :)
