Welcome to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Annmarie from the Fit Foodie Mama + Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl to create awesome healthy recipes each week! This week’s theme is Finger Foods!
Someday when I grow up, I want a forest of avocado trees in my backyard. Until then, I scout sales whenever possible, because this girl is too poor/frugal to shell out 2 bucks for a single avocado. :'( That’s like 4% of my monthly grocery budget!
Thankfully, Trader Joe’s recently had their 50th anniversary sale and I scored 10 avocados for 5 dollahs (what what)! It was glorious. <3 …Obviously, the first thing I had to make = guacamole. I have a bunch of recipes with avocados coming up in the future.”Sorry” in advance! (Quotation marks because I’m not that sorry. <3)
I didn’t even have chips at home, but guacamole toast and plantain chips with guacamole is pretty wonderful. I know there are all kinds of awesome guacamole recipes out there, but sometimes, you just wanna stick with the basics–that’s where this super easy recipe for Classic Homemade Guacamole comes in!
With just 4 main ingredients, salt + pepper and optional spices, it doesn’t get much easier than this! :]
