There are 4 days left to enter the Choctoberfest giveaway, m’friends! :]
I am all for simplicity these days because even though my schedule is technically more chill on OB, it’s also highly unpredictable. I’ve also been trying to have a life before I am forever shut away into the hospital come winter (I guess there’s some truth to why we’re called residents. ._.)
Before I get to my recipe, I wanted to share that I finally got to meet Rebecca from Strength and Sunshine! We went to the 2016 Gluten-Free & Allergen-Friendly Expo in Secaucus and had some fun over at the photobooths…
…and hooray for all kinds of delicious free finds! I don’t really have too many food restrictions (aside from no shellfish), but it was nice to see that there are a lot more gluten-free/allergen-free products available now than there used to be! If you ever need any allergy-free recipe inspiration, check out my review of the Pure Delicious cookbook! :]
I spent Saturday afternoon/evening with a few members of my dance group at Rakkasah, a weekend-long belly dance festival that was taking place nearby with dance workshops, vendors selling costumes, hairpieces, jewelry (anything your heart desires in the belly dancing world).
It was awesome to get to see so many groups/soloists performing, and the costumes were absolutely beautiful! It made me reallyreally miss the artsy side of my life. :'(
But wait, Farrah! Aren’t you getting a little ahead of yourself? You never mentioned anything about knowing how to belly dance!
You’re right…but it’s never too late to learn?! I’ve taken about 3 classes thus far and we had a performance yesterday. <3
My instructor told me to hold onto my wallet and just point out the ones that I really liked to her so we could DIY em’ instead of dropping several hundred dollars on em’.
I did break down when I saw this set of fan veils on sale! <3 They remind me of an ocean! There was another pair that was red/orange/yellow and reminded me of fire, which I may or may not have half-convinced my friend to get. We’re hoping to do a duet together (water vs. fire battles?!).
So…after that ginormous detour (<3), I’m here to share one of the easiest recipes in the world. I feel a little bad even calling it a recipe because it’s so simple, but…oh well. You’ve seen my flavored milk recipes before. :P (If you haven’t, you should check out the Strawberry Banana Tofu Milk and Purple Yam Milk!)

Yum! I drink a lot of smoothies, but sometimes they’re just more thick than I’d like. This looks like the perfect delicious substitute!

This sounds good after…well…just about every work day. Chocolate and peanut butter for the win. I’ve got my absentee ballot almost ready to send off, too! Glad kitty got to help! Haha.

I’m hoping I’ll get to be good at it eventually! :D
I have always wanted to learn how to belly dance as I feel like I’d feel like a total boss so I’m kind of jealous of your talent, haha! ;)
Peanut butter and chocolate is always my favourite so this looks perfect!

I don’t know that I really have any talent in belly dancing yet–that remains to be seen, but hopefully! *-* We might be performing at a restaurant in NYC at some point, so I need to learn it quick!
One of my very best friends has been belly dancing for years, and seeing your post made me so happy! I love that you’re a dancer, too.

Aww, that’s awesome! :D! I’m trying to carve out a little more time for it wherever I can–I’ve really missed dancing (and really just any side of the artsy part of my life!)!
I’ve never had cacao butter, I’m intrigued :)
I’m going to have to come up with more recipes to use it in! :D!!!
