I saw this on Buzzfeed a long while back, and decided to save it for a post later on, because it’s one of them posts that doesn’t require a kitchen, and isn’t exactly time-sensitive, because c’mon now, food is always relevant! Which food must go?!
(Life is still fairly hectic and my night shifts have been a little cray recently, so thank goodness this post was floating around in my backup pile, hahaha.)
Breakfast items, desserts, junk food–this survey has it all. Some are easier than others. :P
Which Food Must Go?
Pancakes, waffles, or French toast?
I love breakfast food, so this is really, really difficult for me, but I’d probably take out French toast, but only because I very rarely make it.
Case in point, I’ve made each of these at least once.
Pie, cake, or brownies?
If cake includes cupcakes, I’d have to take out brownies. (Ahhh!) But at least I can still have blondies! (Check out these Cake Batter Blondies! :]!)
Curly fries, crinkle-cut fries, or steak fries?
My favorite is actually Sweet Potato Fries, so I definitely breathed a sigh of relief here. I’d probably do away with crinkle-cut fries since I never have them anyway!
Pizza, pizza rolls, or bagel bites?
Probably pizza rolls. If I were still in West Virginia, I’d be smited for saying this, but I’ve never had them! :x I’ve made Pizza Cake and Pizza Bread Bowls though! (So many pizza variations…)
Chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, or peanut butter cookies?
I’m really not actually the biggest fan of peanut butter cookies. Not sure why, because I love peanut butter, but I could probably live without PB cookies. :/
Barbecue ribs, hot wings, or mini burger sliders?
If mini burger sliders don’t cut out regular burgers, I’d take those out! Barbecue ribs are second place in terms of my ideal proposal food, and hot wings are just delicious to snack on (especially Korean fried chicken! *-*).
I just came across the realization that I’ve never made any of these, haha. Regular burger recipe, anyone?
Burritos, quesadillas, or tacos?
Quesadillas. I love burritos and tacos wayyyy too much to give those up.
Buttermilk biscuits, cornbread, or bread rolls?
You are not coming between me and cornbread. Buttermilk biscuits are amazing, but I don’t eat them that often, so I guess I’d have to pick that one. :'(
Beef, chicken, or pork?
Hah! Easy one. I can’t eat pork! :O
Bagels, English muffins, or croissants?
I haven’t ever tried making any of these, but bagels and english muffins are on my list of things to try making!
Mac ‘n’ cheese, lasagna, or spaghetti with meatballs?
Mac ‘n’ cheese. I’ve never been the biggest fan of cheese, unless you count the vegan cheese that my church makes for their mac ‘n’ cheese. (It’s made of cashews + nutritional yeast + other amazing deliciousness!)
But speaking of church friends, they also made a delicious Garden Ricotta Lasagna that I need to recreate again at some point in time!
Ice cream, milkshake, or frozen yogurt?
I cannottt say goodbye to ice cream or frozen yogurt, so I guess it’s gonna have to be milkshakes (sorry)! I like em’ but I definitely don’t have them anywhere close to even a smidgen as often as the other two!

Re: breakfast…I’d probably take out French toast too but that tiramisu recipe looks really damn delicious.
haha, if not for that recipe, I would probably be okay with maybe taking it out! :P

I would take out the French toast and the cookies. Yummy, but not necessary…unless maybe the French toast was cinnamon Eason swirl…hummm

1) I guess waffles are gone, because protein pancakes exist. I love me sense French toast.
2) I’ll take out cake, because fruits basket cake is a thing, I’d rather have a good fruit pie.
3) I’ve never had good crinkle cut fries, so those are out.
4) pizza rolls are out if only because they helped me gain a lot of weight some moons ago
5) I actually don’t like sugar cookies that much, so those are out, too.
6) I’m gonna say ribs, because I’m gonna answer no pork later on.
7) quesadillas are out, because you can add hella cheese to a burrito or a taco to compensate.
8) bread rolls are gone because they just take up room from the protein =/
9) pork is gone just because I’m gonna have to start to control my cholesterol
10) Eh, I can leave bagels. They’re all good breakfast options, but I mostly make sandwiches with the others preferably.
11) the classic spaghetti and meatballs are out, and you should try my garlic mac and cheese sometime
12) I suppose milkshake, since I can probably replace it with a smoothie.
I really need to try making protein pancakes!
Agreed with you on the quesadillas, haha. I feel like tacos have way more versatility anyway. But bread rolls! :O!!! Breadissogood (but true, it does take away from the protein, haha).
I haven’t had mac and cheese in ages, but yay for garlic! That does sound pretty delicious!

I love Buzzfeed!!! It’s so entertaining and educational. I love steak fries but I’m starting to fall in love with sweet potato fries. I rarely eat pasta but when I do it’s usually baked ziti or gnocchi. I said goodbye to frozen treats a long time ago, I have a hard time controlling myself around them :) Have a great weekend my friend.

OMG WHAT HARD QUESTIONS YOU ASK YOURSELF! I am wish you though – peace out French Toast… Pancakes and Waffles are way better. However, I am going to have to disagree with you when it comes to the cookies…. I would ditch Chocolate Chip ANY day… In fact, when I used to eat cookies – I would pick out the chocolate chips and just eat the cookie part! LOL!

hahaha, I don’t eat chocolate chip cookies too often, but given a choice between those and peanut butter, I’d definitely go for the chocolate chip! :P

Oh, this is fun! I could get rid of pie because I don’t really like most of it – and it’s something I eat really really rarely. I LOVE ice cream, but it really makes me feel sick now. I haven’t tested frozen yogurt, so for now, I have to keep that one. I guess I’d say milkshake too!

Oooohh, that’s a hard question – and this is a hard quiz! I had to cut gluten out when I found out I was coeliac and that was tough… but if I had to cut out one food from the list I’d cut out pie or wings because I don’t like either!
