150 Best Waffle Maker Recipes

I have a standard waffle maker back in California, but I came across a super cute mini waffle iron at TJ Maxx for $6 earlier this year and couldn’t help grabbing it. I’m super glad I did, because this cookbook basically makes me want to have waffles for breakfast, lunch and dinner. So many options–so little time! :O!

I’ve made waffles a few times in the past…Chocolate Mochi Waffles, Sweet Potato Waffles, Banana Almond Oat Waffles, Almond Waffles with Orange Honey Syrup…I’ve been wanting to use my waffle iron more, so I’m super glad I came across this cookbook!

150 Best Waffle Maker Recipes: From Sweet to Savory

By Marilyn Haugen + Jennifer Mackenzie

Genre: Food/Cooking
Pages: 192

This cookbook starts off with an introduction on…you got it, waffle makers! It also delves into how to use the recipes optimally with preheating, amount of batter, cooking time and waffle size,as well as recommended accessories that’d be useful to have on hand.

Then it goes into what to keep on stock for a happy waffle maker pantry, and also discusses the importance of proper measuring (which I uh, don’t do so often),

The rest of the book is divided into different chapters, all of which include a “table of contents” for what recipes the chapter will contain.

Classic Waffles

Here, you can learn to make everything from the Classic Buttermilk Waffles to Buckwheat, Sourdough, Gluten-Free, Crispy Fluffy Vegan, or even Waffled Buttermilk Biscuits.

Breakfast and Brunch

Blueberry Waffles with Cinnamon Cream, Huevos Rancheros on Cornmeal Waffles, Rustic Hash Browns with Sausage + a Waffle-Fried Egg, Two-Bite Blueberry Muffles, Grab-and-Go Waffled Fruit Parfaits…

Snacks and Lite Bites

Garlicky Cheese Bread, Cheesy Crispy Calzones, Brie and Pepper Pops, Loaded Potato Tots, New World Pierogis, Chicken Alfredo Pizza Swirls, Korean-Style Waffle Cakes, Whimsical Chicken Waffsicles, Stromboli Squares, Naked Burger Bites…

Grab-and-Go Burgers and Sandwiches

Turkey Burgers with Grilled Pineapple Rings, Meatball Sliders, Chicken Breast Sandwiches with Chipotle Creme, Antipasti Waffled Sourdough Sandwich, Banh Mi Sandwiches, Reuben Sandwich on Pumpernickel, Waffled Meatloaf and Horseradish on Rye…

Main Dishes

Bibimbap with Glazed Shiitakes, Seared Ahi Tuna Salad with Sesame Dressing, Southern-Style Fried Chicken and Waffles, Chicken Satay with Spicy Peanut Dipping Sauce, Waffled Turkey and Stuffing, Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas, Waffled Steak and Potatoes with Garlic Herb Butter… (Isn’t this sounding a whole lot more like a standard cookbook vs. a waffle maker cookbook?!)

Vegetarian Waffles

Waffled Potato Samosas, BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Wafflewiches, Black Bean Burgers with Avocado, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and Cheesy Veggie Wafflini, Mushroom Lentil Pot Pie, Sassy Ginger Waffled Tofu Kabobs…

Desserts and Treats

Blueberry Cheesecake Waffles with Buttered Caramel, Waffled Baklava Bundles, Banoffee Pie Waffles, Down-Home Strawberry Pound Cakes, Gingerbread Waffles with Icing and Sprinkles, Doughnuts Meet Waffles, Vegan Strawberry Ice Cream Sandwiches…

There’s an index at the end of this cookbook so if there’s a certain ingredient you want to use up or a certain recipe you want to look for, that definitely made it easier! Each recipe comes with a short intro, the number of servings, a list of ingredients, the instructions, as well as tips for how to make the recipe better, and several of the recipes come with variations too!

Final verdict? I’m super excited about this book and can’t wait to go through and try making everything! It’s got everything from sweet to savory and covers all meal types, so I think I’m good to go! :P
