Since I kinda dropped the ball/took a break on my last 101 in 1001, I gave myself an extra year to get shit done! (hah..) Here are the past few 101 in 1001’s I’ve done!
101 in 1001 (2024-2026)
Why 1001?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (~2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks (e.g. travel). To start your own, calculate the finish date here!

Fitness/Health
I touched on a number of these in my 2024 fitness goals but it bears repeating…
- Drink 5 cups of fluid daily.
- Stretch goal: Try for 6-7. (Lol.)
- Cook/Meal prep at least 2-4 meals/week.
- Stretch goal: Make 1-2 recipes from my cookbook collection each month.
- Lift 2-3x/week.
- Stretch goal: Participate in Garage Gym Competition!
- DL 300, BP 135, S 255
- Reach goal: DL 375, BP 176, S 275.
- Go to dance practice 1-2x/week.
- Not really stretch, but other goal: Spring recital!
- Go to BJJ – 2-3x/week.
- Stretch goal: Get a stripe!
- Stretch goal: Get another stripe!
- Stretch goal: Get 3rd stripe!
- Stretch goal: Get 4th stripe!
- Super-stretch goal: Get blue belt?
- Pole, Aerial Silks, and/or Lyra 1-2x/week.
- Stretch goal: Participate in a showcase!
- Yoga/stretching at least 3x/week.
- Stretch goal: 5-7x/week would be lovely!
- Stretch goal: Get my splits back on both sides!
- Go hiking1-2x/month.
- Get advanced scuba certified!
- Climbing 1x every 1-2 months
- Get my routine labwork done.
- Continue logging meals in My Fitness Pal.
Giving
- Volunteer at Paul Hom Asian Clinic 3-4x/year. [/10]
- Donate to Please Save A Cat at least 1x/year. [/3]
Academic/Career
- 2024 – 50 CME credits. [/50]
- 2025 – 50 CME credits. [/50]
- 2026 – 50 CME credits. [/50]
- Work on Fellowship of Academy of Wilderness Medicine certification (FAWM).
- Get certification in FAWM.
- Go to a wilderness medicine conference.

- Get certification in Lifestyle Medicine.
- Continue teaching medical students.
- Continue mentoring/offering shadowing to pre-med students.
Adulting/Budget/Finances/Planning
