The ABCs of Fairyburger

What with two back-to-back inpatient rotations, a broken hand, and a hell of a lot of driving/flying/traveling in general, I’ve unfortunately run out of scheduled-into-the-future posts…so I stole this from Suz, and took until now to finish it because I’m awesome like that.

Fun fact behind the above picture–I accidentally clicked a link on my school’s website and found…well, me. I’m famous again. (It’s probably because I represent diversity at my school.) I’m ticklish, hence my expression. :O

A – Age: 27 (it’s my birthday in 2 days though!)

B – Breakfast Today: 1 banana, 1 package of seaweed, granola (guess who’s trying to finish off her stash of food so her move to New Jersey will be a little easier?)

C – Current Time: 10:22 p.m.

D – Drink You Had Last: A smoothie with frozen bananas, berries, acai, and coconut water.

E – Exercise of Choice: l really can’t choose just one, so we’re gonna go with lifting weights, pole dancing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Tahitian + hula dancing, and if my schedule and location would allow for it, I would so be training in aerial silks and lyra too!

I miss the days when my right hand could actually grip things like this. :'( Soon!!!

F – Favorite Song: I am a fan of most genres other than country and rap, but picking a single favorite song…no can do. Have several!

G – Grossest Memory: Um…if you know me well, I am not a fan of anything to do with childbirth, so I’m going to go with “witnessing/assisting with a c-section/vaginal delivery.” That’s not to say that I won’t, because obviously, it’s expected of me as a medical student (likewise as a resident), but definitely not my favorite! I’d honestly rather be cutting open brains.

H – Hometown: I like to err on the side of caution, so I’m going to widen the bubble a little and just say Bay Area, California!

I – In Love With: Food. My life revolves around food.

K – Kids: I think they’re fun to hang out with (I’m on my last med school rotation ever right now and it’s pediatrics!), but I especially like the fact that I can give them back to their parents. (“But what about your future kids, Farrah?” …I’d rather stick with my cat and foster kitty!)

M – Middle Name: Also known as my Chinese name. :O

N – Number of Siblings: I have one older brother!

O – Occupation: Medical Student and technically I’m always a freelance accompanist too…

Buttttt…I’m graduating in 1 month + 10 days (not that I’m counting or anything), and in a few months, I’ll be a Family Medicine PGY1, aka intern! Oh em gee to actually having a salary again!

P – Pet Peeve: Inconsiderate people. (…and people who take forever to get to the point, or people never get to the point.)

Q – Question You’re Always Asked: Do you ever sleep?/How do you fall asleep so quickly? (Yes, I do sleep! Just not very often! I’m really talented at falling asleep anywhere/everywhere though!)

Second to this would probably be: “Wait, you live(d) at a cat shelter!?”

(The answer is yes.)

R – Reason to Smile: The super awesome people in my life!

S – Snack You Ate Last: Mini Snickers that I found in my car!

T – Time You Woke Up: 6:20 a.m.!

U – Underwear Color: Black

V – Vacation Destination: I like tropical/pretty places, so Hawai’i would be awesome. I’d also love to go to the Philippines…and the fairy pools in the Isle of Skye in Scotland.

W – Workout Today: Um.

I may or may not have instead headed out to get a Nintendo 2DS so I can play/battle Sean, aka my current roommate/housemate. (I am crashing on his living room floor for the next month.)

• F: (attempting to open Nintendo 2DS package because senioritis, but failing because hand still sucks at life) Is it sad to see how pathetic I’ve become?
• S: Yes. Very.
• F: You weren’t supposed to answer honestly! :[
• S: I do what I want!!

(He told me I was the perfect roommate about an hour later though, so there’s that!)

X – X-Rays You’ve Had: 4, I think! The most recent one was from fracturing my hand in a jiu-jitsu accident. :[ The others were from screwing over my back and neck.

Y – Your Favorite Food: Chirashi bowls, poke bowls, acai bowls…I really like stuff in bowls, apparently. :D (Check out my review of The Sprouted Kitchen: Bowl + Spoon, filled with all sorts of in-a-bowl recipes!)

Z – Zodiac Sign: Taurus! I was supposed to be born at the end of June though–I guess I was just too excited to get started on life!?

(Jay to the kay. My mom had complete placenta previa. She managed to talk her OB/GYN into letting me cook in there an extra month though, and ate like a plague, so I came out weighing around 5 lbs. Yayuh!)
